He is popularly known as The Rock (his ring name). American-Canadian actor was a professional wrestler for more than eight years in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF or WWE) prior to pursuing an acting career.
Dwayne Johnson’s father Rocky Johnson, was a professional wrestler while Ata Maivia, his mother was the daughter of a wrestler. His father Rocky belongs to Black Nova Scotian origin while his mother belongs to Samoan heritage.
Before starting a wrestling career, Johnson aspired for a professional career in football, and He also won the national championship in 1991 when he played for the University of Miami. He then joined with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 1995, but in the middle of the first session, he was cut from the team, and shortly after, he began training as a professional wrestler. He also signed a secured contract with the WWF in 1996.

He also begged success as an author and producer. He also released an autobiography named “The Rock Says”. An entertainment production company called “Seven Bucks Productions” was founded by him in 2012. Johnson is the world’s highest-paid actors and made his place in the Time 100: Most Influential People in the World list during 2016 and 2019.
