The previously directed film “Varmaa” was stopped because of creative differences between the director and E4 Entertainment and later the production decided to remake the entire film with a new director and roped in Gireesaaya, the assistant director of “Arjun Reddy” to complete the movie.

Since “Kabir Singh” and “Arjun Reddy” suffered from some of the critics’ comments on toxic masculinity and torture on women, the cast of “Adithya Varma” is sure of making profits and running successfully on the box office as the director stats that they have made some creative changes to the story and Dhruv is mere a collegian boy in the movie and there is not much intense masculinity shown in the movie as the previous movies have shown. While the trailer reminds us scene-to-scene making of “Kabir Singh” and “Arjun Reddy”, it has gained 3 million views on Youtube.
