Bhool Bhulaiyaa Sequel to come after 12 years


The trend of second sequel continues in 2019 with the release of Total Dhamaal and Student of the Year 2. Now, hearsays are out that Akshay Kumar’s hit horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa is likely to get its second sequel. Priyadarshan directed the original movie in 2007, the second sequel is said to be written and directed by Farhad Samji featuring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead role. It is still blooming and will feature a fresh cast. Once after the final script gets tendered, the team will start off casting and other pre-production formalities. And more Bhushan Kumar’s production house T-Series has already registered the title Bhool Bhulaiyaa. However, yet there is no official confirmation about the film.

Farhad Samji, who is presently busy directing Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4. Previously, he has directed Entertainment (2014) and Housefull 3 (2016) with writer-brother Sajid. The director has an number of films on his davenport this year. He has written Varun Dawan and Sara Ali Khan’s Coolie No. 1 remake, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, Ahmed Khan’s Baaghi 3 and Akshay Kumar’s Laxmi Bomb.

Apart, from Bhool Bhulaiya 2, the producer is already into remaking some of the classic history of past. The production house is toiling remaking BR Chopra’s 1978 drama Pati Patni Aur Woh featuring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday and Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1975 comedy Chupke Chupke, in which Rajkummar Rao will reprise Dharmendra’s role.

There are several other movie sequels that are lined up for release in 2019 and 2020 such as ABCD3, Hera Pheri 3, Housefull 4, Sadak 2, Kick 2.

On the other hand Akshay Kumar is piled up with Housefull 4, Good News , Suryawanshi, Kanchana Remake, Prithviraj Chauhan Biopic, Raghava Lawrence’s Horror Comedy. Lastly actor was seen in Kesari starring Parineeti Chopra based on the retelling of the Battle of Saragarhi
