Bollywood celebrities to vote for India


The home of Bollywood stars, Mumbai, have been witnessed voting for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha polls today. It includes 72 seats which have been spread around nine states. Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas who is a Congress candidate, Kangna Ranaut, Urmila Matondkar from Bhartiya Janta party lawmaker and other such Bollywood celebrities have stepped out to vote for India. When we see the outlay of Mumbai it has been divided into five constituencies: North, North-central, North-west, North-east, South Central and south. And with this, there are close to 96 lakh registered voters who will exercise their duties on Monday.


Aamir Khan who came in dressed casually and made a point of the importance of voting was seen with his wife Kiran Rao and got inked at the polling booth at St Anne High School, Bandra and Paresh Rawal, who is an actor and a politician, along with his wife, voted at the Jamna Bai School in Vile Parle. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt had also shown his gratitude by sharing a pic and accompanied by the tweet ” Go out and vote. Your vote matters” Well our strong women who has just been recovered from her cancer Sonali Bendre Behl had also shown the value of voting by tweeting “Go vote.. its the important thing to do today” R Madhavan, who visited the polling booth with his wife, encouraged the youth to give “no excuses” for not voting. In the fourth round, B-town celebrities have stepped out in a great number to show their rights to vote.


Many others like Madhuri Dixit, actress Shubha Khote, Ravi Kishan Anupam Khere were spotted at the different polling booth to make their vote count. While these stars were showing their patriotism and the importance to vote few other actors and actresses have always seen missing voting, one of which is Akshay Kumar who cannot vote even though his love for the country is not a secret, this is because he holds a Canadian passport and other actress holding a Canadian passport is Sunny Leone. Alia Bhatt has also never been spotted during the elections as she holds a British passport.

Both the sides had done wonderful campaigns to get most of the votes they can while BJP used Bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Salman Khan and Varun Dhawan to appeal to the citizen to come out and vote, the Congress mobilized twitter to send out celeb messages to citizen depicting “Vote Karo,magar soch samajh ke”
