Deepika Padukone Third Indian to Crossed 50 Million Follower after Priyanka Chopra, Virat Kohli


On Tuesday, actress Deepika Padukone crossed 50 million followers on Instagram. She took to the social media platform to express gratitude for the love and support from fans. Deepika also wrote that she was ‘grateful’ for hitting the milestone. Fans greeted her with beautiful messages and tribute videos. One of the fans also wrote a handwritten letter to the Deepika Padukone.


Indian national cricket team captain Virat Kohli previously became the first celeb who crossed 50.3 million followers. Then after actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas became the second Indian who reach 50 million followers on Instagram. Actress Deepika Padukone is the third Indian after Priyanka Chopra and Virat Kohli to achieve the outstanding feat.


DP keeps posting about Mental health awareness and during this pandemic Covid-19, Deepika talked about mental health and coping with stress, anxiety, and depression during an epidemic. According to IANS, she said, “The Covid-19 pandemic has caused much turmoil; social isolation, uncertainty about the future and coping with academic pressures, to name a few. And a global crisis such as this often leads to or aggravates pre-existing mental illness.”


Actress also said that “Understanding the importance of mental health and how we can support each other during these times and beyond is most certainly the need of the hour. Through this LIVE session, I look forward to sharing with all of you, some of the things I have learned during my personal and professional journey.”
