Deepika Padukone has always been supporting the causes for mental health by starting off her own campaigns to even launching the “Live Love Laugh Foundation” that desires to help the mental health patients fight the traumas and recover easily. And again, Deepika Padukone closet, her new initiative to support a cause that relates to mental health is recent news in the town.
With the mental health awareness week coming up ahead, Deepika has taken up the newer initiative to raise funds through arranging a charity case by selling out her favorite pieces of cloths to fans and the raised money will be dedicated to the foundation in helping the patients suffering from strong mental health conditions.
Coming out in open with her depression in 2015 and raising a topic that had become taboo, the actress truly showed the courage by bringing it up on the table and is currently actively supporting the patients also with her own Live Love Laugh Foundation. Recently, the Live Love Laugh Foundation has been awarded “Breaking the Chains of Stigma” by Guis Lain Awards.

This 10th October (World Mental Health Awareness Day), the actress announced a closet opening where she will be putting up some of her chosen and most precious wardrobe items which range in athleisure to red carpet dresses and accessories and involve the fans by purchasing their favorite items from Deepika’s ultimately fashionable wardrobe and make it their own. Actress also followed it up with her social media accounts and announced the closet opening which sold out fast within two hours of her starting it. Many are still waiting for more to buy again. The accessories and dresses being put up for sale are in good condition only and the ones who are not are being sent to recycle and blankets will be prepared for the underprivileged. Inspiring other celebs to put up their wardrobe for good use, Deepika truly has supported and did her best for bringing mental health awareness in the society.
On the work front, the actress has her film “Chhapaak” coming up which is based on the true story of an acid attack survivor and is going to be directed by renowned Meghna Gulzar. Also, she will be seen playing the role of Romi Dev in Ranveer Singh’s movie ’83, where Ranveer will be portraying Kapil Dev and Deepika will be seen as his on-screen wife.
