With the intense television thriller serial that had the audience speechless and is based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 novel with the same name, Sacred Games, is the first Netflix Original series in India. The release of season 1, with just eight episodes, was a success as the response from the audience was positive and also praised the performance and the writing. The wait seems to be over after sacred games season 2 Netflix original teaser was finally out. Yes, it was the awaited news after the announcement from Netflix back in November stating “ The worst is yet to come. Sacred Games will be back for season2.” The series is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, who produced it under their banner Phantom Films. In the first series, we saw how Sartaj Singh, a troubled police officer(Saif Ali Khan) in Mumbai receives a phone call from a gangster Ganesh Gaitonde(Nawazuddin Siddiqui), who tells him to save the city within 25 days. The series chronicles the events that follow. Apart from these two, other cast members seen in the series are Radhika Apte, Girish Kulkarni, Neeraj Kabi, Jeetendra Joshi, Rajshri Deshpande, Jatin Sarna, Elnaaz Norouzi and Kubra Sait.
Even after having few controversies and also a petition to remove some of the scenes, it still managed to impress the audience immensely. And the season 1 covered just the first part of the novel which is why the wait for the second half was the buzz and good news for the fans is that they can expect at least four series of Sacred Games. The series has been released in different languages but according to Erik Barmark, vice-president of international originals at Netflix, India has seen the biggest and fastest investment in content of any other country they have launched.
With the teaser out it all brought back the known motive that was seen heavily in season1 and also gives a hint that Gaitonde who was shown dead is given a voice-over. The only thing the cast has to say about season 2 is that it will be proven to be the baap of season 1 and even if they know Ganesh Gaitonde they won’t know what to expect from him.

For all that’s worth, the season 2 is going to bring in the Gangster back, the one, true and powerful than god gangster who was shown dead right in the first episode of season1. The trailer does speak about him and how the story has just begun.
