Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul suspended by BCCI , Reason is KWK episode

Everyone is aware of the controversy about the Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul who are in headlines due to their suspension by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul cannot play any of the matches until they give the proper explanation to the BCCI about their controversial comments on the recently-aired episode of Koffee With Karan. Both the players were immediately called back from Australia in the first available flight.

Due to the Hardik’s problematic comments on women on celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan BCCI’s Committee of Administrators (CoA) had recommended a two ODI match ban for both the players due to which their names are omitted from the line-up for the opening ODI in Sydney, Australia.

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) had sent a legal notice to Hardik and Rahul asking them for a reply within the few weeks that, “why they should not be proceeded against for misconduct and indiscipline under Rule 41 of the BCCI Constitution”. Following the suspension issued by CoA both the Indian cricketer will return to India for the further inquiry against their misconduct and indiscipline did by them that have been initiated under Rule 41 of the BCCI Constitution. This rule states that, “In terms of Rule 41(6) of the BCCI Constitution, Hardik and Rahul are suspended with immediate effect from participating in any manner whatsoever in any match or function or event or activity that is authorized, organized, sanctioned, recognized or supported in any way by the BCCI, the ICC or any State Association, until final adjudication of the matter.”

Hardik and Rahul were heavily criticized on social media and they also earned the disapproval from their captain Virat Kohli, he denounced the statements made by them on Koffee With Karan which is hosted by filmmaker-producer Karan Johar. Virat Kohli has termed the comments as “inappropriate”, he said that said, “We as the Indian cricket team and responsible cricketers do not support such views,” Kohli also added ahead that, “The two concerned players have realized what has gone wrong and they have understood the magnitude of what has happened,”
