Malaika Arora at the Launch of Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown is an American professional makeup artist and the founder and ex-CCO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Bobbi Brown is the OG of “How-To’s,” who started her career in 1991. Well, she was simply tired of people adopting the red lipstick trend, and wanted to create a space for those who enjoyed nudes, and color palettes that are close to one’s own skin tone.

Recently, Bobbi Brown has chosen Bollywood actors Malaika Arora and Tamannaah Bhatia for her maiden show in India at the debut edition of the India Makeup Show. The lady is coming to the country for debut edition of the India Makeup Show (IMS), curated by Brothers Incorporated, founded by Rahul Tuljapurkar and Ninad Shah. She had conducted an IMS Masterclass with Tamannaah as her muse in Mumbai on April 13 and Malaika as her muse in New Delhi on April 20.

With gratitude to the @indiamakeupshow for inviting me to lead a master class which not only allowed me and @sdplof to see parts of India but also brought me to my roots as a makeup artist. I loved meeting all the artists and encouraging them in their dreams of creating a business based on passion. Swipe to see some highlights. Apparently Steven is a rockstar there too as everyone wanted his photo. Check out the last swipe when an artist asked if she could touch my feet and get blessed as her guru. And #Ninad trying to keep things moving … and 🙏🏼to @iadhuna who literally gave me the shirt off her back Shout out to the great talent on stage who came together for all of this ❤️

Bobbi Brown aforesaid in a statement, “I have always considered Indians to be naturally beautiful. I was very particular on the person who would play my muse since this is my very first masterclass in India. I wanted someone who could seamlessly bring to life the diverse looks I would be showcasing without comprising on her own individuality.”

“Tamannaah happened to be the ideal choice for Mumbai while Malaika represents the glitzy hustle and bustle of India’s capital. I’m certain they both will do full justice to what I wish to present to the Indian audiences,” Brown added.
Tamannaah is exhilarated to be a part of the event. “Bobbi Brown is a timeless icon and a role model to many young women like me. This is such an honour. In fact, I have excused myself from my film commitments in Baku to make this a reality. I will be spending close to 48 hours on flight to spend those five hours with Bobbi. So you can well imagine my excitement level,” she said.
To this, Malaika added: “There are a lot of make-up artists I have associated with, but working with someone as iconic as Bobbi is such an honour, especially when it has always been one of the things I wanted to do in my bucket list. I’m very excited to see how she displays her signature no make-up look on me.”
Apart from the founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, other make-up artists from India like Cory Walia, Bianca Louzado, Mariana, Mehera Kolah, Namrata Soni, Vipul Bhagat, and Savio John Pereira are also going to latch on in the event.
