Sushant Singh Rajput in Madhur Bhandarkar’s next “Inspector Ghalib”?


National award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to work on his next project depicting the illegal sand mining problem of India. Tentatively named as “Inspector Ghalib” will have a strong male lead as an inspector fighting against the sand mafia to stop the illegal sand mining. This film is based on real-life situations occurring in Uttar Pradesh. However, the film will depict larger-than-life events in the backdrop of UP, India.

The name considered for the role of inspector in the film is of the loverboy of B-town Sushant Singh Rajput. The source closely related to this project revealed that the filmmaker has finally chosen a script to work on this project and is currently deciding the cast and locations for shooting the film. However, he also stated that Sushant being director’s actor has liked the idea of the film and is probably going to work in the film as he likes the way of film making of Madhur Bhandarkar and is excited to collaborate. However, the filmmaker has decided to keep mum on this topic and said that it is too early to reveal any details about the upcoming project. The shooting will start in May 2019. To add a chunk of reality in the film, some part of the film will be shooted in Uttar Pradesh also.

According to a close source, the film will not have the action sequences like Simmba or Singham. Rather the film will focus on creating a real-world scenario and tickle the belly of the system for not working on such an issue. It is to note that Madhur has released a film “Indu Sarkar” in the year 2017 which suffered from the objection from the CBFC for depicting the sensational issue of Government of Indira Gandhi. The filmmaker has given many successful films like Page3, Fashion, Heroine and many more in the past few years.

In the meantime, Sushant Singh starrer movie “Sonchiraiya” is all set to release on 8th February. The trailer has already impressed the viewers with the fierce look of all the actors and action-packed drama. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Bhumi Pednekar, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana are also playing promising roles in this film.
